Trail Time

Today was a hard day...for some reason I just felt worn down at work. I had two meetings where I struggled to stay awake and I had to start packing up my office. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate packing?? Well, I absolutely hate packing and every time I have ever had to move I have waited until the last minute to pack and of course, I regret it every time. You would think I would learn......

That is all to say, I needed today's run. I needed the laughs I KNEW I would get from my hilarious running buddy. I needed the release I knew I would get from a run. And I got it! Today's run was short and actually pretty slow but it wasn't an easy run. We ran trails today, it has been over a year since I've run real trails like the ones we did today. Dodging rock and roots, jumping over fallen trees and climbing mountain-like hills makes for a pretty strenuous run. It was great! I really enjoyed the run and I'm glad that the rain cleared up just in time for our run. We were going to run even if it was still raining (yes we were Amy!) but it was nicer without the rain.

My legs are still sore so I think I'll head to the grocery store now to get some Castor Oil to rub on my legs....a friend told me that helps with the muscle soreness. I'll let you know how it goes.

All I do is walk every day, but you're really motivating me to get out and go (almost) every day. I just walk around my neighborhood, but I walk until I think I can't go anymore and then I retrace my trail. I am easily gone for two hours. Well, if I walk with my friend, it's 2 hours. When I'm alone its more like 45 min to an hour, but still...

Hell no I am not running in the rain. My hair will frizz!
