Runner's World

I had been toying with the idea of keeping a blog for a LONG time. The hardest part was trying to figure out a topic for my blog. I came up with the name "Memos & Love Notes" because I was going to write mainly about work and love and how the two are similar. I soon decided that a topic like that would probably end up being like the diary I have started numerous times in my life only to write in them for a few weeks and then stop.

Instead I have decide to blog about running, specifically training for a marathon. I have joined a wonderful running group and look forward to training with them.

A little about myself: I consider myself a runner. I have been running since I can remember, beginning with "fun runs" as a small child. I ran track in middle school. In high school I ran cross-country, indoor and outdoor track as well as AAU track in the summer. I pretty much ran year round. I guess that is why I could eat McDonald's every day and not get fat! (unlike now) After high school I kind of fell off the running wagon and only ran sporadically during college. Now I'm BACK! I realize why I ran so much when I was younger....it's fun! I love being outside on the road with no distractions other than perhaps some passing cars. Not to mention it is a great stress reliever.

This blog is just a little something to help with my journey to marathon completion and to help maintain my memories. Enjoy!
